Personal Coaching

“When my husband and I walked out of our son's last school IEP meeting we felt confused and unsatisfied. Even though we are both teachers in the system, we hadn't understood all that had just happened. We went into  that meeting desiring one thing for our son and had to settle for something else and we weren't sure why. That's when we sought out t2L Systems.  After working with a personal coach, we understood what had happened at the meeting and how we could have handled it differently. We assessed our needs as a family and fit requirements to solutions.

Our personal coach helped us understand the process and equipped us for the next meeting. Our new confidence came from knowing what my son needed, knowing how to present what we wanted for our son to the team, and understanding what criteria had to be met to achieve this goal. Our personal coaching experience was wonderful.  We learned the tools and skills necessary to meet our expectations.  It was not long before we learned the skills that gave us a full understanding of how to best advocate for our son. We continued to work with our personal coach and called another IEP meeting this summer.  Our life was fuller as we were able to set in place goals for our son that will begin at the start of this upcoming school year. We could never have achieved all that without the ample aid from our personal coach in the Master Advocacy Program.”

“It is never easy as a parent, to hear that your child is behind in school. When I was told that my son’s name was going to be added to the "1st grade retention list" in January of this year, I did not know what to do or where to turn.  Soon after, I started working with a t2L Systems coach which gave me the flexibility I needed to address my concerns.

Our initial conversations were very positive; the coach gave me the peace of mind to know that the resources were available to help my son.  We quickly determined issues and suggested an effective plan of action.  I was given information that I would quickly implement at home as well.  In addition, and equally important to me, is the insight and support that I was given.  My coach helped me learn the skills necessary as a parent to eliminate my main problems.  If I had not made a connection with them, I am sure that I would not have had the confidence to stick by my conviction that first grade retention was not the right answer for my child.”

Advocacy Basics Bootcamp

I wanted to help my son so I ordered the introductory course that I could complete at home.  My son was performing below the other children in his class.  I noticed he really did not have many friends and I did not know what to do to help him. The Advocacy Basics Bootcamp taught me the skills necessary to address my main problems with my son.

The real-life stories were easly for me to relate to.  When I finished the course, I had a clear plan of where I was going and what I needed to do to get there.

 t2L Systems' Network Community Membership

"I became a t2L Systems' Community Member after completing the Advocacy Basics Bootcamp. The commentary from Dr. Fellows Merkle appealed to me.  I was very satisfied with both the Advocacy Basics Bootcamp and being a Community Member.  I do have peace of mind making informed decisions!"

“I became a Network Community Member last year.  This has not only helped my son, but has been a wealth of information for me regarding strategies as well as moral support when the inevitable frustration sets in.  t2L Systems exudes genuine caring, compassion and passion for our children and their best interests.  You get the feeling from her that is electrifying.”
